Job Description
The Investment Intern will support Sanlam’s investment team by conducting market research, preparing financial analyses, and assisting in the preparation of investment reports. The role provides exposure to portfolio management processes and offers hands‑on experience in a professional finance environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel
- • Good written and verbal communication abilities
- • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently
- • Interest in investment management and capital markets
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct research on financial markets, sectors and investment opportunities
- • Prepare and update financial models, spreadsheets and valuation analyses
- • Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentation decks
- • Support the investment team with data collection, due‑diligence and reporting tasks
- • Monitor portfolio performance and compile regular performance reports
- • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for investment strategies
