Job Description
The IT Intern will provide first‑level technical support to staff, assist with hardware and software installations, and help maintain network infrastructure. The role offers hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux environments, troubleshooting, and basic cybersecurity practices while supporting daily IT operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- • Basic knowledge of computer hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi)
- • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and basic database management
- • No prior professional experience required
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deliver first‑level support for hardware, software, network and system issues
- • Assist in installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware and operating systems
- • Support network administration tasks, including connectivity troubleshooting and user account management
- • Maintain IT inventory, asset registers and equipment records
- • Perform routine system health checks and report abnormalities or security concerns
- • Contribute to data backup, recovery and basic cybersecurity initiatives
