Job Description
The IT Officer will manage the organization’s technology infrastructure, providing technical support to staff and ensuring reliable network and system operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining security protocols, and supporting the implementation of new IT solutions. The role contributes to the NGO’s mission by keeping digital tools functional and secure.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- • 2–3 years experience in IT support or systems administration
- • Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer service orientation
- • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and networking concepts
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and peripheral devices
- • Provide first‑line technical support to staff and resolve IT incidents promptly
- • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- • Ensure data security through regular backups, updates and access controls
- • Assist in the procurement and deployment of new IT equipment and solutions
- • Document IT procedures and maintain an inventory of assets
