Job Description
The teacher will deliver mathematics and physics lessons to junior secondary students, creating a safe and engaging learning environment. They will develop and update curriculum materials, set assessments, and provide diverse resources for student exploration. Classroom management and the ability to monitor equipment use are essential. This is a remote, contract position lasting two months.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Mathematics, Physics or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years teaching experience at junior secondary level
- • Strong classroom management and student safety skills
- • Ability to develop and update curriculum materials and assessments
- • Proficiency in using educational resources and technology
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deliver 21st‑century learning experiences to JSS students
- • Provide a safe and secure environment for children
- • Plan and execute daily activities aligned with the curriculum and lesson plans
- • Develop, review and update schemes of work and lesson plans in collaboration with the curriculum manager
- • Set assessments for subject areas as required
- • Supply diverse materials and resources for exploration and imaginative play
- • Instruct and monitor students in proper use and care of equipment and materials
- • Organise and lead activities that promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music and storytelling
