Job Description
The junior accountant will support the finance team by maintaining accurate general ledger entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month‑end financial statements. They will perform bank reconciliations, help prepare budgets and payroll data, and provide support for internal and external audits. The role also involves ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting queries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- • 0–2 years relevant accounting or finance experience
- • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or ERP systems
- • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, general ledger, trial balance and reconciliations
- • Understanding of local tax regulations and reporting requirements
- • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- • Good communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards
- • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
