Job Description
The Junior Actuarial Analyst will support the Life Business unit at Old Mutual by performing actuarial calculations, analyzing mortality data, and assisting in product development. The role offers exposure to actuarial modeling within a leading insurance organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- • Proficiency in Excel and statistical programming languages such as R or Python
- • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities

Responsibilities
- • Perform actuarial calculations for life insurance products
- • Analyze mortality, lapse and expense data to support pricing decisions
- • Assist in the development and documentation of actuarial models
- • Prepare reports and presentations for underwriting and product teams
- • Support senior actuaries in regulatory and compliance reporting
- • Participate in ad‑hoc analytical projects as required
