Job Description
The Junior Construction Project Manager assists in supervising and coordinating construction, renovation and interior fit‑out projects across Kenya. Duties include monitoring workmanship, managing subcontractors, tracking progress, preparing reports and supporting procurement planning. The role requires a construction‑related degree and 1–3 years of site experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field
- • 1–3 years relevant construction or site experience
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project‑management software
- • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving and accountability
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Supervise and coordinate daily activities on construction sites
- • Monitor workmanship, quality, safety and site cleanliness
- • Coordinate artisans, subcontractors, suppliers and site logistics
- • Track project progress, materials and labour requirements
- • Prepare regular site progress reports and maintain documentation
- • Identify and escalate delays, quality issues or material shortages
- • Support procurement planning to ensure timely availability of materials
- • Take measurements and assist with schedules, cutting lists and documentation
- • Use Zoho Projects and other systems for tracking and reporting
- • Ensure projects follow approved drawings, specifications and timelines
