Job Description
The Senior Finance Officer leads financial operations, ensures compliance with policies, and provides strategic financial analysis to support program delivery. They supervise junior finance staff, manage reporting, and collaborate with program managers to optimize resource utilization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- • Significant experience in financial management, preferably within NGOs or development agencies
- • Strong analytical, reporting, and supervisory skills
Responsibilities
- • Oversee financial transactions and ensure compliance with organizational policies
- • Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- • Supervise and mentor finance officers and junior staff
- • Conduct financial analysis to support program decisions
- • Ensure timely and accurate donor reporting
- • Coordinate with program teams to monitor expenditures and resource allocation
