Job Description
The Laboratory Technologist will perform a range of laboratory analyses, ensure quality control, and maintain accurate records in compliance with QMS standards. The role requires supervision of laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and effective communication with clinical staff. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum five (5) years of post‑registration experience as a Laboratory Technologist
- • Degree in Laboratory Sciences or a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
- • Valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
- • Proficiency in Health Management Information Systems and strong computer skills

Responsibilities
- • Conduct laboratory tests and analyses according to standard protocols
- • Maintain quality control procedures and ensure compliance with QMS initiatives
- • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- • Record and verify test results accurately in the laboratory information system
- • Prepare reports and communicate findings to healthcare professionals
- • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance within the laboratory environment
