Job Description
The Laboratory Technologist (Locum) will perform sample collection, preparation and analysis while maintaining laboratory records and inventory. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, managing equipment, and supporting start‑up laboratory operations in a busy health facility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
- • Valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians Technologists Board
- • Minimum three years’ experience as a licensed laboratory technologist
- • Experience setting up start‑up laboratory operations
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Collect, prepare and manage samples and specimens, ensuring safe disposal
- • Clean and maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment
- • Prepare culture media and other laboratory reagents
- • Keep accurate laboratory records and manage inventory
- • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
