Job Description
The Lead Fiber Technician will oversee the installation and maintenance of fiber‑optic networks across Nairobi, ensuring high‑quality service delivery. They will supervise a team of technicians, coordinate project schedules, and troubleshoot complex network issues. The role also requires adherence to safety standards and continuous improvement of installation processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with fiber‑optic installation and testing
- • Ability to lead and train junior technicians
- • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- • Knowledge of safety procedures and industry best practices
- • Good communication skills in English

- • Supervise and mentor a team of fiber‑optic technicians during installations and repairs
- • Plan and schedule fiber deployment projects to meet client timelines
- • Perform high‑level splicing, testing and termination of fiber cables

- • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- • Maintain accurate project documentation and inventory records
