Job Description
The Lead, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support provides senior technical leadership for Save the Children’s global MHPSS programmes. The role oversees strategy, technical guidance, and capacity building for country offices, while driving resource mobilisation and partnership development. The lead manages a team, ensures evidence‑based interventions, and represents the organisation in external forums. This full‑time remote position requires extensive humanitarian experience and advanced academic qualifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or professional certificate in a relevant field such as public health, psychology, or social work

Responsibilities
- • Provide senior technical leadership and day‑to‑day oversight of global MHPSS support to country offices
- • Develop and implement evidence‑based mental health and psychosocial interventions
- • Lead new business development and resource mobilisation efforts for MHPSS programmes
- • Build and manage partnerships to strengthen collaborative impact globally
- • Mentor and supervise a team of MHPSS advisers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation
- • Represent Save the Children in inter‑agency groups, donor meetings, and sector forums
- • Analyse programme performance data and translate findings into actionable improvements
- • Design and deliver capacity‑building trainings and mentorship for staff and partners
- • Ensure programmes are culturally competent, inclusive, and aligned with global priorities
