Job Description
The Legal Counsel will provide specialised legal support to the Corporate Investment Bank and Commercial Services, handling transaction structuring, contract review and regulatory advice. The role requires expertise in banking and finance law, as well as strong drafting and negotiation skills. The counsel will also manage litigation and dispute resolution matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline
- • Minimum 7 years post‑admission experience in banking and finance law
- • Proven expertise in structured finance, lending transactions and security structures
- • Experience handling insolvency, restructuring and enforcement matters
- • Strong legal drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities
- • Assist the Head of Legal with deal transactions, securities structuring and finance documentation
- • Review and negotiate commercial contracts, leases, licences and supplier agreements
- • Prepare and analyse term sheets, product documentation and credit papers
- • Support business rescue, restructuring, insolvency and enforcement activities
- • Provide general legal advisory, risk management and compliance guidance
- • Manage CIB litigation matters and prepare periodic legal reports
- • Coordinate with commercial services on dispute resolution and cost management
