Job Description
The Legal Counsel, Risk & Compliance provides legal advice to KCB Group by reviewing legislation, regulatory developments, and judicial decisions that affect the bank. Responsibilities include drafting policy recommendations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The role requires a law degree and substantial experience in banking or financial services compliance. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements

- • Review legislation, proposed bills, judicial decisions, and market trends impacting the bank
- • Advise senior management on legal and regulatory implications and recommend policy changes
- • Conduct risk assessments and develop compliance frameworks for banking operations
- • Draft, update, and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence
- • Monitor ongoing regulatory developments and provide timely guidance to relevant departments
