Job Description
The Licensed Engineer will assess aircraft defects, perform troubleshooting, and certify maintenance actions to ensure timely release of aircraft. Duties include scheduled inspections, repairs, modifications and documentation of all maintenance activities while adhering to safety, health and environmental policies. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to aviation safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE mean grade of C+ or above
- • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (or related field)
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assess defects on aircraft, troubleshoot, rectify and certify for release
- • Perform scheduled maintenance checks, service bulletins and certify airworthiness
- • Inspect, repair, replace, overhaul, modify and test aircraft components and systems
- • Certify maintenance of cabin utilities to ensure passenger comfort
- • Identify and requisition required parts and manage inventory
- • Conduct duplicate inspections on safety‑critical systems and engines
- • Report incidents and accidents according to ALS procedures
- • Accurately record maintenance tasks to maintain up‑to‑date aircraft history
- • Adhere to ALS safety, health and environmental policies
