Job Description
The Locum Medical Officer will provide comprehensive clinical care across multiple wards, manage emergencies, and supervise medical staff. Responsibilities include patient assessment, performing surgical procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. The role requires a medical degree, at least two years of clinical experience, and strong teamwork and reporting skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work in a remote setting are also needed.
Qualifications & Requirements

Responsibilities
- • Ensure all patients receive daily care across hospital wards
- • Attend to medical and surgical emergencies promptly
- • Supervise and coordinate staff in each ward
- • Document patient care accurately in medical files
- • Conduct daily ward rounds in maternity, adult, paediatrics, and other units
- • Verify case management follows established protocols and guidelines
- • Prepare weekly ward status updates, trends, and resource needs
- • Manage departmental performance targets and implement improvement activities
- • Perform elective and emergency obstetric/gynecological and surgical cases in theatre
- • Run specialised clinics (e.g., SOPC, GOPC, HRC, MOPC, POPC)
- • Handle medical‑legal cases and complete required documentation
