Job Description
The L&S Procurement Manager will lead procurement activities for Maersk Line’s East Africa area, driving cost leadership and operational excellence across the region. Responsibilities include developing strategic sourcing plans, managing a dispersed procurement team, harmonising area efforts with regional and global functions, and negotiating contracts with suppliers. The manager will also partner with product, sales, finance and customer experience teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Strong leadership and extensive logistics experience are required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or higher (MBA/MSc/MA) in Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics procurement, including inland transportation and warehousing
- • Proven track record in leading large, multi‑country procurement teams
