Job Description
The Manager, Balance Sheet Management will oversee the bank’s balance‑sheet strategy, ensuring optimal liquidity, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the manager will coordinate asset‑liability analysis, capital planning and performance reporting for Absa Bank in Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
- • At least 5 years experience in balance‑sheet management, treasury or financial analysis within banking
- • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills
- • Proficiency with financial modelling tools and banking systems
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

- • Monitor and manage the bank’s balance‑sheet composition and liquidity positions
- • Conduct asset‑liability analysis and stress testing to inform strategic decisions
- • Prepare regulatory and internal reports on capital adequacy and risk exposure
- • Collaborate with treasury, risk and finance teams to optimize funding and investment strategies
- • Lead a team of analysts, providing coaching and performance feedback
- • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in balance‑sheet reporting
