Job Description
The M&E consultant designs, implements, and strengthens monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems to measure programme performance and support evidence‑based decision‑making. Key duties include developing MEL frameworks, leading data collection and analysis, creating an AI‑powered database, and preparing periodic reports for donors and stakeholders. The consultant also provides technical support to project teams and ensures compliance with reporting requirements. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree and demonstrable experience in monitoring and evaluation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field
- • Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation across sectors
- • Knowledge of AI applications in M&E and digital data platforms
- • Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- • Excellent written and spoken English, public‑speaking, and document‑production abilities
- • Flexibility to collaborate across teams and adapt to remote working environments
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and operationalise Nalafem’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, including indicators, data‑collection tools, reporting templates, and performance‑tracking systems
- • Lead the collection, management, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data across programmes and initiatives
- • Develop and maintain an AI‑powered MEL database to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data management
- • Prepare periodic MEL reports for donors and internal stakeholders
- • Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and organisational standards
- • Provide technical support and capacity‑building to project teams on MEL processes
