Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and lifecycle management of piping systems and mechanical equipment for Direct Air Capture plants, ensuring compliance with industry codes and reliable plant performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (BA/BSc/HND)
- • Experience in piping design and plant engineering preferred
- • Familiarity with ASME, API, and other industry codes
- • Proficiency in CAD software and stress analysis tools
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop plant layouts and detailed pipe routing for DAC facilities
- • Produce piping deliverables such as plot plans, isometrics, and stress analyses
- • Select appropriate materials, wall thicknesses, and specifications based on process conditions
- • Ensure designs meet ASME B31.1/B31.3, API, and other relevant standards
- • Coordinate design activities with mechanical, process, electrical, and civil teams
- • Oversee procurement of piping components and manage documentation
- • Support field installation and maintenance activities
