Job Description
The Medical and Health Sciences Trainer will design and deliver training programs for clinical and health‑science professionals. Responsibilities include creating curriculum materials, conducting classroom and practical sessions, assessing learner performance, and ensuring compliance with TVETA standards. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse student groups.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Degree, Higher Diploma, or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Theatre Nursing, Peri‑Operative Theatre Technology, Applied Biology, Medical and Health Sciences, Public Health or a related field
- • TVETA registration and professional licence
- • Technical education certification (pedagogy)
- • Proven experience in the relevant health profession
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • High reliability, flexibility, and results‑oriented attitude
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical medicine, nursing, orthopaedic, theatre technology, and related health‑science topics
- • Design course curricula, lesson plans, and assessment tools
- • Evaluate learner performance and provide feedback to support improvement
- • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with TVETA registration requirements
- • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse student groups
- • Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees throughout the program
- • Coordinate with institutional partners to align training with industry standards
