Job Description
The Medical Officer at the Outreach Clinic provides primary healthcare services, conducts patient examinations, diagnoses conditions and coordinates appropriate treatment and referrals for the community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid Kenyan medical registration
- • Minimum 2 years experience in primary care or community health settings
- • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- • Excellent communication and patient‑centred care abilities
- • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Take detailed case histories and perform physical examinations of patients
- • Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and radiology investigations
- • Diagnose medical conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments
- • Provide health education and preventive care counseling
- • Refer patients to specialist services when necessary and ensure follow‑up
