Job Description
The Medical Sales Representative drives sales of healthcare products by identifying new opportunities among hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, and nurturing relationships with medical professionals. Responsibilities include prospecting, presenting product solutions, negotiating contracts, and providing market feedback to improve offerings. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and possess proven experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales. Strong communication, negotiation and analytical abilities are required to achieve commission‑based targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Pharmaceutical/Medical Sciences or a related field
- • Proven experience in medical, pharmaceutical or healthcare sales
- • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- • Strong knowledge of sales processes, lead generation, prospecting, negotiation and customer relationship management
- • Good understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
- • Identify and develop new business opportunities among hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, medical centres, distributors and other healthcare institutions
- • Promote and sell the company's medical and healthcare products while consistently achieving assigned sales targets
- • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, customer visits, follow‑ups, quotations, negotiations and order conversion
- • Build and maintain professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, procurement teams, hospital administrators and other healthcare decision‑makers
- • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product information and solutions
- • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and educational sessions for healthcare professionals
- • Keep up‑to‑date with product portfolio, medical terminology, healthcare practices and industry developments
- • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing and customer preferences, providing actionable feedback to management
- • Plan and execute regular field visits across the assigned territory to maximize coverage and sales opportunities
- • Develop territory plans prioritising high‑potential facilities and customers
- • Manage daily sales activities, appointments, follow‑ups and territory priorities independently
- • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, leads, quotations, orders and sales activities
- • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts and progress updates against targets
- • Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve conversions, revenue and customer retention
- • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, finance, logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient order processing and delivery
- • Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, product issues and order‑related challenges
