Job Description
The Microbiologist Intern will gain practical laboratory experience conducting microbiological analyses on food and beverage samples, supporting senior scientists in research projects and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Food Science, Biochemistry or a related discipline
- • Strong interest in microbiology and laboratory techniques
- • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is an advantage
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Perform microbiological testing on food and beverage samples using standard laboratory methods
- • Prepare media, reagents and equipment for experiments
- • Record and analyse test results, maintaining accurate laboratory logs
- • Assist senior microbiologists with research and product development tasks
- • Ensure laboratory hygiene, biosafety and compliance with SOPs
- • Participate in data reporting and presentation of findings
