Job Description
The MMS Sub‑Saharan Africa Business Development Manager will accelerate growth of Medication Management Solutions across East Africa, forging strategic partnerships with distributors, healthcare providers and government bodies. The role drives market expansion, builds a sustainable pipeline and positions BD as a trusted partner in advanced healthcare delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Business, Life Sciences or a related field
- • Minimum 5 years experience in business development or commercial sales, preferably in healthcare or medical devices
- • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share
- • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills
- • Ability to travel extensively across the region and work independently
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify and convert new business opportunities in public and private healthcare sectors
- • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, hospitals, clinics and government procurement agencies
- • Develop and execute market‑entry strategies for the MMS portfolio
- • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through contract negotiation and closure
- • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to tailor solutions to regional needs
- • Represent BD at industry conferences and stakeholder meetings
