Job Description

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer leads the design and implementation of frameworks to measure the performance and impact of KDC’s investments and programmes. Responsibilities include developing MEL policies, creating results chains and theories of change, and establishing systems to track financial, economic and sustainability outcomes. The role works closely with project teams to ensure data‑driven decision‑making across the corporation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • BA/BSc/HND or professional certificate in a related field such as Economics, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies or Project Management
  • • Minimum six years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment or related roles

Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • • Develop and institutionalize the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, including policies, methodologies, tools and standards
  • • Establish a Development Impact Measurement Framework for all KDC investments and strategic initiatives
  • • Design results chains, theories of change, performance indicators and outcome frameworks for funded projects
  • • Implement systems to track developmental, financial and economic additionality and sustainability outcomes
  • • Produce and maintain monitoring tools, data collection instruments and reporting templates
  • • Analyse monitoring data to generate insights and recommendations for programme improvement
  • • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to project teams on MEL practices
