Job Description
The Montessori Kindergarten Teacher creates a nurturing, child‑centered learning environment that supports each child's holistic development. Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Development) or related degree
- • Montessori Diploma or accredited Montessori training
- • Registered with the Teacher Service Commission (TSC)
- • Relevant teaching experience in early childhood education
- • Proficiency with computers for virtual learning
- • Passion for alternative education and ability to teach mixed‑age groups
- • Strong observational, communication and diagnostic skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Monitor the welfare and holistic development of each child, ensuring safety at all times
- • Observe, guide, supervise and assess children in classroom, online and home settings
- • Develop individualized lesson plans, learning exercises and curricula
- • Participate in workshops, meetings, assessments and parent reporting
- • Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating learning environment
- • Build trusting relationships with students and model positive values
- • Track student progress and prepare assessment reports
- • Ensure classroom supplies and equipment are functional and available
- • Support school activities and accompany students on field trips
- • Assist with orientation and training of new teachers
- • Update school database records and perform administrative tasks
