Job Description
The Mortician at AIC Kijabe Hospital is responsible for preparing and preserving bodies, performing embalming and ensuring all mortuary processes comply with infection‑control standards. The role involves maintaining accurate records, managing mortuary inventory and providing compassionate support to bereaved families. Candidates must hold a relevant certificate or diploma and have at least six months of hospital mortuary experience. The position is full‑time and operates remotely within the hospital’s protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Certificate or Diploma in Mortuary Science, Anatomy or a related field
- • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
- • At least 6 months experience working in mortuary services, preferably in a hospital setting
- • Strong relational skills, empathy and ability to receive feedback
- • High ethical standards and professionalism in all duties
- • Ability to follow infection‑control and safety procedures
