Job Description

The rider delivers company goods, documents and samples to customers and suppliers across Nairobi and Athi River, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. They keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage and delivery documentation while performing routine motorcycle checks to maintain roadworthiness. The rider also plans efficient routes, provides courteous service, and promptly reports any incidents or delays to supervisors.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Valid motorcycle driving licence
  • • Strong knowledge of Nairobi and Athi River areas
  • • Ability to follow traffic laws and company safety procedures
  • • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for record‑keeping
  • • Good communication and customer service skills
  • • Physical ability to load and unload goods safely

Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • • Safely deliver company goods, documents, samples, and materials to customers, suppliers, offices, and other designated locations
  • • Conduct pick‑ups and drop‑offs as assigned by the Operations or Logistics team
  • • Ensure all deliveries are made accurately, securely, and within required timelines
  • • Handle company goods and documents carefully to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement
  • • Maintain proper records of deliveries, collections, mileage, fuel usage, and related activities
  • • Obtain and submit delivery notes, receipts, invoices, and other relevant documentation
  • • Keep the assigned motorcycle clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained
  • • Perform routine checks on fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, oil, and overall mechanical condition
  • • Report mechanical problems, accidents, defects, or maintenance needs promptly
  • • Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety procedures
  • • Securely park and protect the motorcycle when not in use
  • • Plan delivery routes efficiently to minimise delays and fuel consumption
  • • Maintain good knowledge of Athi River, Nairobi, and surrounding areas
  • • Provide professional and courteous service to customers, suppliers, and company representatives
  • • Safeguard company property, goods, documents, and information entrusted to the rider
  • • Report any delays, incidents, failed deliveries, or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly
  • • Assist the Operations team with other logistics‑related duties as assigned
  • • Maintain confidentiality of company information and documents handled during deliveries
