Job Description
The Multimedia Officer will lead the creation of visual, audio and digital assets that translate complex research and policy insights into engaging content. Working within the Synergy Unit, the officer will produce videos, animations, podcasts, infographics and interactive media to enhance the centre’s public visibility. The role requires collaboration with researchers and communications specialists to develop storyboards, scripts and production plans, and demands strong creative judgment and technical expertise in multimedia production.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Media Production, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in multimedia production and digital storytelling.
- • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Audition) or comparable tools.
- • Strong visual judgment, creativity and ability to convey complex information clearly.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience collaborating with researchers and policy experts.
- • Knowledge of data visualization, typography, colour theory and layout design.
- • Understanding of copyright, licensing, data protection and ethical storytelling practices.

- • Conceptualize and produce multimedia content such as videos, documentaries, animations, podcasts, photography and infographics.
- • Translate research findings and policy messages into accessible visual and audio narratives.
- • Develop storyboards, scripts and production plans in collaboration with researchers and communications teams.
- • Operate professional cameras, lighting, audio‑recording and livestreaming equipment for field and studio shoots.
- • Perform video editing, colour correction, sound editing, motion‑graphics and post‑production using industry‑standard software.
- • Create accessible content including captions, subtitles and transcripts.
- • Manage digital assets and publish content through content‑management and social‑media platforms.
