Job Description
The Network and Service Operations Centre Engineer ensures proactive monitoring and rapid resolution of network and service incidents. Key duties involve configuring alerts, managing tickets, coordinating with customers, and maintaining change management processes. The role supports infrastructure security and provides operational insights through regular reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional certificate in a relevant technical field
- • 2–3 years of experience in an ISP or telecommunications technical environment
- • Knowledge of network monitoring, NMS tools and alert management
- • Familiarity with change management and SLA processes
- • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Configure monitoring and alert systems for network and service elements
- • Review NMS‑generated alerts and tickets, initiate customer outreach and coordinate troubleshooting
- • Manage SLA adherence through timely alert handling, incident triage and stakeholder engagement
- • Oversee real‑time tracking and communication of planned and emergency network changes
- • Manage permissions and activity logs for fiber buildings, colocation sites and data centres
- • Generate shift handover reports, network health summaries and ad‑hoc operational insights
- • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration for incident and problem response
