Job Description
The Nurse In Charge leads the daily operations of the Appointment Clinic, overseeing patient care, staff coordination, and performance against revenue and utilisation targets. Responsibilities include ensuring clinic readiness, monitoring patient flow, and maintaining high nursing standards while supporting financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or HND/Diploma in Nursing or related health field
- • Minimum five years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinical leadership role
- • Valid nursing licence and relevant certifications
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead daily patient‑care delivery and supervise nursing staff in the Appointment Clinic
- • Ensure clinic readiness, staffing, and equipment availability for scheduled services
- • Monitor and report on revenue, conversion, and utilisation metrics
- • Track appointment attendance, service completion, and referrals to the main hospital
- • Maintain accurate registers of investigations, procedures, surgeries, and transfers
- • Review pending cases weekly, assign actions, and coordinate follow‑up and pre‑authorisation
- • Provide finance with complete activity records to validate clinic revenue
- • Coordinate an eight‑week clinic schedule in collaboration with senior management
