Job Description
The Locum Nurse will deliver high‑quality clinical care, manage patient triage, administer medications, and ensure the medical centre is fully stocked and compliant with infection‑prevention protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Nursing or a related health discipline
- • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in primary care or community health settings
- • Strong patient interaction skills and ability to use electronic health records
- • Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
- • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of care
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive clinical services including patient assessment, triage, MCH/FP, nursing procedures, and administration of IV/IM medications
- • Ensure the medical centre is stocked with supplies and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for general and emergency cases
- • Champion infection prevention and control by implementing Penda Health’s IPC protocols
- • Accurately record patient data in the electronic medical record system in real time
- • Complete Ministry of Health reporting requirements and ensure timely submission
- • Deliver quality patient education and ensure an excellent patient experience
- • Participate in continuous professional development and adhere to evidence‑based medical protocols
