Job Description
The Funds Transfer Officer processes domestic and international payment instructions, ensuring compliance with bank policies and Central Bank of Kenya guidelines. The role interacts with branches, correspondent banks and internal departments to guarantee accurate and timely transaction settlement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND degree
- • 1–2 years experience in banking operations or funds transfer
- • Knowledge of Kenyan banking regulations and international trade finance standards
- • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Review and validate funds transfer instructions received through the Document Management System
- • Perform due‑diligence checks and ensure compliance with CBK prudential guidelines
- • Liaise with branches, correspondent banks and internal units to resolve queries
- • Process outward payment instructions efficiently within agreed turnaround times
- Ensure inward payments are credited accurately and promptly
- • Respond to payment‑related inquiries from stakeholders in a timely manner
