Job Description
The Operations Accountant manages financial data for medical centres, ensuring accurate revenue recording, reconciliations and compliance with financial policies. Working with branch managers and the lead accountant, they prepare reports and address control issues. The role requires independent judgment and strong analytical skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field (BA/BSc/HND)
- • Professional accounting certification such as ACCA or CPA
- • Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in a medical or branch setting
- • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls and P&L reporting
- • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP or similar ERP systems
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Upload insurance revenue data weekly and cash revenue data monthly into the financial system
- • Perform daily reconciliation of M‑Pay payments against the EMR system and resolve discrepancies
- • Reconcile debit‑card and cash collections daily to ensure accuracy
- • Prepare and review financial reports in line with company policies
- • Collaborate with branch managers and the lead accountant to address control weaknesses
