Job Description
The Operations Assistant‑Intake supports Airflo Limited’s logistics operations by managing truck intake, dock allocation and shipment verification. The role ensures efficient off‑loading, adherence to SOPs and timely communication of intake issues. It also assists with workforce planning and shipment weighing processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum KCSE qualification
- • Experience in logistics or warehouse operations preferred
- • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- • Ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately
- • Good communication skills for coordinating with drivers and team members
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Marshal arrived trucks at the yard and guide drivers for document verification
- • Allocate trucks to appropriate docks based on load size and market requirements
- • Supervise truck docking and ensure efficient off‑loading with FIFO handling
- • Follow intake SOPs, report discrepancies, and communicate intake issues promptly
- • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and task delegation
- • Verify shipment weights, re‑weigh as needed, and ensure pallet serviceability
