Job Description
The Operations Manager will oversee daily waste collection, transportation and field operations across the service area. Responsibilities include planning and optimizing collection routes, managing fleet utilization, supervising drivers and collection teams, and ensuring compliance with NEMA and county regulations. The manager will monitor operational KPIs, control costs, enforce health and safety standards, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and service quality. The role requires strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Logistics, Environmental Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- • Five to eight years of relevant experience, preferably in waste management, logistics, fleet or transport operations.
- • Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience.
- • Strong knowledge of fleet, route and people management.
- • Understanding of Kenya’s waste‑management regulatory framework.
- • Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
