Job Description
The Part‑time Lecturer delivers undergraduate and graduate instruction in Public Health at Amref Health Africa. Teaching duties involve lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical skill sessions, as well as providing technical assistance to students. The lecturer also contributes to curriculum development and assesses student performance. This role supports the training of future health professionals in Kenya.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related discipline
- • Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level
- • Strong knowledge of public health concepts and curricula
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills
- • Ability to develop course materials and assess student performance
- • Commitment to academic excellence and student mentorship
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions in Public Health to undergraduate and graduate students
- • Provide technical assistance and mentorship to students during coursework and projects
- • Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment tools
- • Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments
- • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic program development
- • Support accreditation and quality assurance activities within the faculty
