Job Description
The part‑time Senior Lecturer will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Health Professions Education and Medical Education at Amref Health Africa’s university. The role includes curriculum development, student mentorship, and contributing to research initiatives that advance health education. The lecturer will collaborate with faculty and health practitioners to ensure learning outcomes align with national health priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s degree or higher in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or a related health science field
- • At least 5 years teaching experience at the university level
- • Demonstrated record of research and publications in health education
- • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities
- • Design and deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions in medical education
- • Develop and update curricula, assessment tools and learning resources
- • Supervise student projects, dissertations and clinical placements
- • Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in relevant journals
- • Participate in faculty meetings, accreditation activities and continuous improvement processes
- • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
