Job Description
The Partnerships and Grants Officer will lead resource mobilization efforts by identifying funding opportunities, preparing high‑quality proposals, and managing donor relationships for HIAS Refugee Trust of Kenya. They will maintain a grants pipeline, monitor donor trends, and ensure compliance with funding requirements. The role supports strategic growth of humanitarian programmes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field
- • Minimum three years of experience in grants management and proposal development
- • Strong stakeholder engagement, networking and relationship management abilities
- • Excellent analytical, research and organisational skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with Grant Management Systems
- • Knowledge of humanitarian standards such as AAP, PSEA and anti‑fraud principles

Responsibilities
- • Identify, track and assess funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, corporations and multilateral agencies
- • Coordinate development and submission of concept notes, proposals, grant applications and expressions of interest
- • Lead proposal writing and ensure timely submission of donor applications
- • Maintain a comprehensive funding pipeline and grants calendar
- • Support implementation of fundraising and resource mobilisation strategies
- • Monitor donor trends, priorities and emerging opportunities
- • Manage relationships with donors and strategic partners
