Job Description
The Partnerships Officer will implement DRC’s strategic partnership framework across Kenya, building and strengthening relationships with NGOs, community groups, and the private sector. Key duties include mapping new partnership opportunities, assessing partner capacities, facilitating capacity‑building support, and ensuring donor compliance throughout project cycles. The officer will also provide internal technical guidance and support programme managers in managing partnership activities. Travel within the country is required to engage stakeholders directly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field
- • Minimum 3 years of practical experience working with the UN or an INGO
- • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency in Excel

Responsibilities
- • Implement DRC’s strategic partnerships framework at country level
- • Identify and map new partnership opportunities with NGOs, CBOs, civil society, private sector and research institutes
- • Assess partner capacities and facilitate targeted capacity‑building support
- • Ensure donor compliance and proper documentation for all partnership engagements
- • Provide technical guidance to programme staff on partnership management and compliance
- • Coordinate and support partner organisations throughout project implementation and post‑implementation phases
- • Conduct in‑country travel to engage stakeholders and monitor partnership activities
