Job Description
The Payroll Transformation Lead is responsible for designing and implementing a multi‑jurisdiction payroll model that shifts operational ownership to People while Finance retains payment execution. The role establishes a controlled monthly payroll cycle, automates reporting with BambooHR, and delivers compensation and benefits workstreams. It also creates clear employee communications and knowledge‑transfer processes to ensure sustainability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent
- • Minimum 9 years of experience in People Operations or Human Resources with extensive payroll, compensation and benefits responsibility
- • Proven track record leading a multi‑jurisdiction payroll transformation from fragmented processes to a documented operating model
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design, embed and operate a reliable people‑owned payroll transformation model across multiple jurisdictions
- • Establish a controlled monthly payroll cycle with defined input ownership, review points, audit trails and People‑Finance routines
- • Replace manual trackers with automated BambooHR reporting, workflows, controls and process documentation
- • Deliver compensation and benefits workstream, including salary and bonus changes, regular review cycles and benefits‑coverage audits
- • Create employee communications, self‑service guidance, escalation paths and structured knowledge‑transfer to remove key‑person dependency
- • Coordinate with finance, payroll providers and internal teams to ensure seamless hand‑over of the new model
