Job Description

The Pension Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the pension scheme, supporting the Board of Trustees in governance and fiduciary duties. Responsibilities include overseeing fund growth, investment performance, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong management, organizational and decision‑making capabilities and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and extensive experience in finance or pension management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • • Minimum 10 years experience in pension fund management, finance or a related sector
  • • Proven strategic leadership and governance experience
  • • Strong management, organizational and decision‑making abilities
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • • Ability to oversee budgeting, investment oversight and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • • Provide strategic leadership to implement the Board’s vision, mission and strategic plan
  • • Advise and support the Board of Trustees on fiduciary, governance and statutory responsibilities
  • • Coordinate Board activities, including meetings, trustee development, evaluations and governance reviews
  • • Oversee budgeting, financial management, resource allocation and cost control for the pension scheme
  • • Monitor performance of investments, properties, fund managers and custodians to maximize returns
  • • Lead fund growth initiatives and develop retirement product offerings
  • • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • • Manage a team and make key organizational decisions
