Job Description
The Pharmaceutical Technologist ensures the safe dispensing of medicines and provides technical support in a busy pharmacy setting. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, complying with regulatory standards, and offering customer service for both pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
- • Current enrollment with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
- • Minimum two years experience in a busy pharmacy environment
- • Knowledge of cosmetics and nutraceuticals is an added advantage
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- • Maintain up‑to‑date patient and inventory records
- • Ensure compliance with pharmacy and poisons board regulations
- • Provide customer advice on medication usage and over‑the‑counter products
- • Manage stock levels, including cosmetics and nutraceuticals
- • Conduct quality checks and assist with compounding as needed
- • Support the pharmacy team with administrative and technical tasks
