Job Description
The Plant Layout Designer will develop and maintain the master layout for cement or heavy‑industry plants, adapting equipment designs to site conditions and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The role includes producing detailed 2D/3D drawings, managing vendor interfaces, and integrating mechanical, structural and electrical systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- • 7–12 years experience in plant layout design for cement, steel or similar heavy‑industry projects.
- • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and 3D modelling.
- • Strong understanding of mechanical, structural and electrical interface requirements.
- • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.

- • Adapt standard equipment designs to suit site topography and process requirements.
- • Integrate civil foundation footprints and structural contours into mechanical layouts.
- • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software.
- • Coordinate vendor drawing reconciliation and manage version control.
- • Review and verify vendor submissions to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- • Design material handling systems and define access and maintenance routes.
