Job Description
The Principal will lead Makini High School’s StateHouse Campus, overseeing academic programmes, staff performance and compliance with the national curriculum. Responsibilities include strategic planning, resource management, fostering a positive learning environment and engaging with parents and education authorities. The role demands strong leadership, curriculum expertise and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized university and registration with the Teachers Service Commission
- • Minimum 10 years teaching experience with at least 3 years in a principal or deputy principal role
- • Strong knowledge of the CBE curriculum and modern pedagogical practices
- • Excellent written and spoken English, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills

- • Provide overall leadership and management of the school, ensuring delivery of the CBE curriculum
- • Supervise, mentor and evaluate teaching and support staff performance
- • Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets and resource allocation for the campus

- • Engage with parents, education authorities and the wider community to support school objectives
