Job Description
As a Principal Mobile Engineer for POS terminals at Moniepoint, you will lead the architectural design and development of secure, scalable payment solutions across Android and cross‑platform environments. You will produce detailed technical documentation, guide engineering teams, and ensure integration with hardware and payment processors. The position requires deep expertise in POS systems, EMV standards and a strong track record of delivering complex financial software.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • At least eight years of experience in system design, architecture and development within the POS terminal domain.
- • Strong expertise in Android native development using Java or Kotlin.
- • Experience with cross‑platform mobile frameworks such as Flutter, and familiarity with C or JavaScript for POS applications.
- • In‑depth knowledge of EMV security protocols, encryption and key management.
- • Proven ability to integrate hardware components like card readers, PIN pads and printers.
- • Solid understanding of payment systems architecture and integration with processors and gateways.
- • Knowledge of software quality assurance principles applied to financial systems.
- • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage complex system interactions.
