Job Description
The Procurement Officer manages end‑to‑end sourcing activities for a manufacturing operation, from competitive RFQ/RFP processes to supplier onboarding and contract administration. The role evaluates supplier creditworthiness, oversees purchase‑order processing, and ensures compliance with SEZ, customs and import/export regulations. Additionally, the officer monitors inventory levels, coordinates delivery and non‑conformance handling, and prepares performance reports to support continuous improvement. Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- • Active membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and a valid practicing license.
- • Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement and supply chain experience.
- • Progress toward or completion of a professional qualification such as CIPS, APICS or CSCP (advantage).
- • Additional certifications in inventory management, logistics, process improvement (lean or sigma) or ERP systems (beneficial).
