Job Description
The Production Engineer supports motor vehicle manufacturing by creating and modifying engineering designs, preparing technical drawings, and developing production methods. The role requires proficiency in SolidWorks and at least two years of relevant experience. It is a remote position offering a salary range of KES 30,000 – 50,000 per month.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering
- • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in motor vehicle manufacturing or related field
- • Proficiency in SolidWorks and technical drawing interpretation
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Develop and modify engineering designs using SolidWorks
- • Prepare and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models for production
- • Support vehicle body, component, and assembly production processes
- • Design and implement production methods, layouts, jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- • Identify and resolve production and design‑related challenges
- • Collaborate with fabrication, welding, assembly, and quality teams
- • Improve production efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness
- • Ensure designs and processes meet engineering and safety standards
- • Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and production drawings
