Job Description
The Program Manager, Circular Economy leads investment activities for AECF’s circular economy portfolio, overseeing deal sourcing, due diligence, structuring and portfolio management. They manage a small team, coordinate budgeting and donor reporting, and engage stakeholders to expand financing for circular enterprises across multiple countries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or HND in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in investment, programme management or related sectors
- • Proven track record in deal structuring, portfolio management and donor reporting
- • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills
- • Knowledge of blended finance, results‑based financing and circular‑economy business models
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead end‑to‑end investment due diligence on prospective portfolio companies, assessing business models, financial viability and scalability
- • Structure and negotiate investment terms in line with circular‑economy principles
- • Oversee portfolio management, monitor performance and verify results under results‑based financing
- • Prepare and manage work plans, budgets and donor reporting for the programme
- • Represent the programme with ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen circular‑economy financing
- • Supervise a small team and coordinate with advisory and sector heads
- • Conduct market analysis and provide strategic guidance on circular‑economy investments
